Word of the Year : Empathy

At Heritage College, this year’s focus is on Empathy. Our students will engage in learning activities designed to foster understanding and compassion, helping them connect with others on a deeper level. They will explore the importance of listening to others, understanding their feelings, and putting themselves in someone else’s shoes. Through these experiences, students will learn that empathy is about recognizing the emotions of others, offering support, and building meaningful, respectful relationships.

Throughout the year, our students will be encouraged to practice empathy in their daily interactions—whether it’s supporting a friend, helping someone in need, or simply showing kindness to those around them.
